Golborne & Lowton Art Group

The thriving success of Golborne & Lowton Art Group is owed to it’s dedicated, talented and enthusiastic team. The group was established over 15 years ago with currently more than 40 members, with a diverse age range between 50 and 85 ! There is a lively dynamic vibe within the club which is derived from interesting mediums and techniques which are shared by members and a variety of guest artists who regularly visit the club to carry out demonstrations and workshops.

The group continue to pro-actively seek out venues for exhibitions such as Shevington & Golborne |Library, Astley Green Pit & Lowton Church Hall to showcase their outstanding work.

Day trips are arranged periodically which allows the members to take in the views, such as the Lakes, Tatton Park and Liverpool Docks giving them opportunities to sketch or gain inspiration for future artwork.

The club is surrounded by the enviable backdrop of Pennington Flash Lake, the large window of the club creates a frame for a constantly moving landscape.

The club runs every Thursday 10am-3pm. With a long waiting list for future members.
